*Bring your own tools to join together in community and transform the land into a bountiful collection of gardens. Several non-profits and community members have been working together to create something new and beautiful. They are eager to invite others to join them. A number of these locations will include public art as a designated stop on The Lilies Project walking tour. We are excited to see how the spaces begin to bloom and transform.

Gardens Supporting Mental Health

Helping start an herb garden in downtown Walnut Cove for renewal of the spirit. Supporting families thru community connection programs for self-harm prevention & peer support initiatives for mental wellness.

The herb garden will remind us, as Mary Lee says in honor of her son Sid Lee, “the solution is understanding”—& will gather Stokes citizens in faith, hope, charity, and love.

A nourishing food garden & outdoor firepit near East Walnut Cove Park & Hairston ancestral land, where all people are welcome to till the soil & the soul.

Rev. Warren, in honor of his daughter Erica, envisions the garden will be a place for youth to gather to learn about the food we grow, & for families facing addiction & affliction of all kinds to lay down their burdens to receive God’s love.

“Erica’s Garden will feed the hungry, comfort the lonely, & bring God’s powerful peace.”

If you have a garden and dates that you wish to include, please contact Caroline directly.
